Extra von NotHaus serves as the Chief Executive Officer at XCard, a financial technology (Fintech) firm that combines a payment platform with the consumer precious metals market to create the world’s first, real-time, asset-backed debit card. In addition, Extra is co-teaching “Fintech: Disrupting the Finance & Insurance Services Industries,” the first graduate-level course on Fintech and Blockchain for the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. He previously spent over five years as an independent management consultant at a Top 5 global banking conglomerate, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, where he worked across multiple businesses, including Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, and their US subsidiary, UnionBank, performing various special projects related to their wholly-owned international subsidiaries, corporate/risk strategies and internal M&A activities. Prior to those positions, he was a founding team-member at five start-ups in consumer products/e-commerce and publishing, as both an entrepreneur and intrapreneur, where he successfully advised the founders on business development initiatives and strategic partnerships. He earned both a MBA in Investments and Masters in Finance at Northeastern University and a Bachelors in Physics from UCLA.
